After surgery your hands may feel minimally tender.  Dr. Dec will prescribe medications to reduce pain and risk of infection.  Patients typically return home the same day.

 

Bruising and swelling of the hands are normal and usually take one to two weeks to resolve.  You may resume mild activities the day after surgery and strenuous activities after one month.  Some of the transferred fat may eventually disappear.  You will see the final result, a more youthful contour of your hands, after two weeks.
