Facial liposuction is a surgical procedure that corrects fullness under the chin, neck and jaw, and can make you look younger and more fit.  A consultation with Dr. Dec will help determine if you are an appropriate candidate for facial liposuction and help you understand the risks and benefits of surgery. 

Facial liposuction is performed through a small incision hidden under the chin.  The procedure takes approximately one hour.  Some patients may benefit from placing a chin implant at the time of surgery to achieve facial balance.

 

After surgery, the treated areas may feel tender and will be covered with a dressing to reduce swelling.  Dr. Dec will prescribe medications to reduce pain and risk of infection.  Patients typically return home the same day.

 

Bruising and swelling are normal and usually take one to two weeks to resolve.  Sleeping with your head elevated on two pillows will help reduce swelling.  You may resume mild activities the day after surgery and strenuous activities after one month.  You will see the final results, an improved facial contour, after one month.  After surgery the neck and jaw look natural and a significant aesthetic improvement is observed.
